More birthday celebrations. On Monday night I met a few of my closest friends for a fairly impromptu birthday dinner at HILL COUNTRY BBQ. It was an affair to celebrate one of my all time favorite events… MY BIRTH. On Sunday I celebrated 32 years of being fabulous. I have to admit I love my birthday, but I don’t love the fact that I’m aging. As you either know, or will eventually find out… things change when you get older, it’s much easier to put on weight and harder to take it off. A good thing about age, is that time teaches you things. You know more; like that you should not take out a second mortgage to buy that fabulous Prada bag… You realize that you buy it when you can afford it, ask for it as a gift, or just go without. I’ve found that even my drinking habits change. I still drink plenty, but now I can afford to buy myself a drink, unlike my 20’s when my friends and I could hardly afford Chinese take out for dinner. We would show up to the club with a $5 cover and open bar before midnight… we would gorge ourselves on vodka (the cheap kind) cranberries before the open bar closed and then dance the night away.
I’ve never been one to shy away from throwing myself a birthday party. Here’s a walk down Memory lane on some pics of past birthday parties.
