What a TR&B night I had last night. Mostly on the BOOZIE side per usual. The night started when I peaced out of the office a few minutes early for “A” cocktail with a friend… Well let’s just say “A” referring to one, was not how we rolled last night. As we sat
perched on our bar stools at The Park, one glass of bubbles became two glasses of bubbles, became four glasses of bubbles. Then change of scenery, we took a cab the 7 blocks and 6 Avenues to her favorite watering hole The Bar at the PIT (Peoples Improv Theater). New bar new cocktail (they didn’t have bubbles or BudLight) Vodka Soda w/ a splash of cran (my version of a THIN Vodka Cranberry… less juice = less calories). I was persuaded to take in an improv show while there, it was my first. Have you ever been… it’s weird at first, but so much fun. My friend is a budding starlet; she’s actually on a “House Team” (Improviser lingo) at the PIT and performs every Monday night. Considering I’m only a good friend at my convenience… I’ve never actually seen her perform… but trust me this will change soon… perhaps it is Kelly’s amazing talent that will bring me back, or perhaps it will be the amazing grilled cheese sandwich we shared… no one will ever know.
Fast-forward 3 THIN VC’s (Vodka Cranberry) later, my lover Andrew showed up to wisp me off to a new location. We took the short walk thru Madison Square Park (one of my favorite parks fyi), bravely passing up The Shake Shack’s amazing burgers, toward one of our favorite spots XES Lounge (we don’t love it because it’s fancy… TRUST). Several of our gal pals were there and so were 2 more THIN VCs. Don’t judge… I was thirsty.

Remember Friendster? It’s crazy how much social media has changed our lives, I can now know that my high school friends daughter took a poop. I can see ultra sounds (which by the way really freak me out). My mother now knows everything I do. I like it though; I’m an open book sometimes to my detriment. I don’t necessary want to know everything that is going on in everyone’s life, but I certainly don’t care if they know what’s going on in mine… (remember yesterday with the self portraits… I am narcissistic)
