I found myself obliged to attend a screening of the Mad Men season premier last night followed by a cocktail reception with a few of the cast members. Yes it is true what they say, Jon Hamm is amazingly sexy and truly THIN RICH & BOOZIE. I sadly however, was being a responsible member of society last night and purposely found myself sober. Knowing it would be an incredibly BOOZIE night, I rode my Vespa into the city and to the event. This forces me not to partake in those yummy yummy cocktails. It was an incredibly successful event and I think everyone was having a good time. Although I was incredibly excited to see the cast, as it obviously is one of my favorite shows on TV, they were upstaged (for me only I’m sure) by the sight of Alexis Bledel… you know Rory from Gilmore Girls. If you know me, you know I obsess over the Gilmore Girls and even wanted to name my country house Lorelai. This is not my first time seeing Alexis out on the town, but always such a pleasure. As I observed her now and in the past, something makes me wonder how she’s doing. Although, she’s only a year younger than I, at 30, she looks amazing and still incredibly young. I question if she will ever be able to live down her character Rory and be taken seriously as an adult actress… to me she’ll live eternally as Lorelai “Rory” Leigh Gilmore.
Since last night, was TR&B minus the THIN (soon very soon), without the RICH (at least I do have my MegaMillions ticket), & BOOZIE (damn Vespa)… I called it a fairly early night and headed home. But one’s night is never over when RuPaul’s Drag Race is on… I found myself mesmerized by the scandal on last night’s episode. I’m still wondering what did WILLAM do? Rue you can be so shady and not tell us. “Broke the Rules” is not enough for us ladymen… we need the dirt! WILLAM good bye sister! As is tribute, here’s a great video!
TR&B Daily THINspiration:
I couldn’t pick just one… so I have to give a salute to the entire TR&B cast of Mad Men! May this season be as great as the last! Catch the season premier this Sunday on AMC.
