Skinny Chatter…

Work is really getting in the way of my quest of becoming THIN RICH & BOOZIE.  Today I was so pumped about my lunch time yoga class.  Low and behold a conference call gets scheduled for the same time only an hour before.  So obviously that convinced me that I needed a bag of chips and ChipotIe for lunch instead…  This week has not been good for my quest; First I did not win the Powerball Jackpot and now this.   I guess there’s always next week.

Pretty people & Pretty places…

Last night I went out with my good friend and design mentor Kevin Isbell of Kevin Isbell Interiors. It was great to catch up and see what he’s been working on.  He’s always so inspiring and I love everything he touches.  I was most impressed by his newly completed (if one can say such things of designers’ own homes) studio apartment in Gramercy.  Every little piece of usable space was done in nothing but perfection.  From the wall of drapery to the nail head trim on his retro desk; I was in awe.  My absolute favorite room is his dressing room, a space between his closet and the bath.  This space is small (maybe 4ft x 4ft), but it is stunning.  It is full of inspiration not only from a design standpoint, but also for the soul.  It is covered in inspirational art and meaning objects that really resonates as great design and allows you to also see inside the person who lives there.  Did I forget to mention that the walls are covered in chocolate patent leather?  I can’t wait until this property gets published so I can share the photos that will sure to be THIN RICH & BOOZIE.  Until then check out a few things from his website.  www.KevinIsbell.com

WAKE-UP WEDNESDAY…

I know it’s not Foodie Friday, but it is WAKE-UP WEDNESDAY, so I thought I’d share my new daily ritual with you step by step.  Here’s how I make my THIN RICH & BOOZIE iced cappuccino.

Supplies:

Espresso ~ 3 Splenda packets  ~  skim milk  ~  2 french vanilla coffeemate pods  ~  tall glass  ~ Ice

  1.  Make a double espresso shot
  2. Add 2 Splenda and 1 coffeemate
  3. Sir
  4. Poor over glass of ice (I prefer ice pellets)
  5. Top off glass with cold skim milk

 Foam:  The secret to my foam is one Splenda and a coffeemate added to my skim milk

  1. Add 1 Splenda, 1 Coffeemate, & Skim milk to separate cup
  2. Froth milk blend
  3. Spoon on a dollop of foam and add a straw
